Privacy policy
In my consulting work I collect data (e.g. through interviews) and use my own methods to evaluate the raw data made available to me. You can find my privacy policy (in German) here.
Should a joint project come to include tasks that I am to carry out as a processor on your instructions, please provide me with a corresponding data processing agreement.
Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA.
When a page is requested, Vercel processes technically necessary data in server logs: the IP address, date and time, the requested address, the previously visited page (referrer) and details of the browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the website and protect it from misuse.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure and stable provision of the website. The logs are deleted after one year.
Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer to the USA is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). A data processing agreement with Vercel is in place (Art. 28 GDPR).
Storage in your browser
The website stores only one technical flag without personal data in your browser's session storage (sessionStorage): when you switch the language, it notes that the opening should not play again on the next page; this flag is deleted as soon as that page loads. It is not transmitted and is deleted at the latest when you close the tab or window. The legal basis is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG.
Fonts
The typeface IBM Plex Sans is served from this website's own server. No connection to Google or any other font provider is made when the pages load.
Contact by email or phone
If you get in touch by email or phone, your details are processed to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is deleted once it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.
Links to other websites
The link to LinkedIn is a plain link: LinkedIn only receives data once you click it, and from then on LinkedIn's privacy policy applies.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21).
You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
